Andrew and Dawn Burnett have served as co-pastors at Prairie Hills since 2001. Dawn and Andrew grew up in Michigan, where they met at junior high computer camp. Coming from Baptist (Andrew) and Methodist (Dawn) backgrounds, they trained at a nondenominational college and Presbyterian seminary before finding a home in the Covenant Church. They live in central Sioux Falls and are the delighted parents of Althea JinXiang Burnett who joined their family through adoption in 2006.

Andrew Burnett
Andrew provides leadership in the areas of worship and member ministries at Prairie Hills. He also loves preaching and teaching youth and adults. Besides his role at Prairie Hills, Andrew teaches philosophy at Augustana College and does ethics education/consulting in the healthcare field. His hobbies include martial arts, obsolete computer games, and Legos. |

Dawn Burnett
Dawn provides leadership in the areas of congregational care and outreach. Her preaching and teaching reflect a passion for discipleship and practical applications of Christian faith. She loves helping people listen for God’s guidance and respond to God’s call in their lives. Dawn’s hobbies include reading, martial arts, and keeping up with a very active toddler! |

Mark Swanson
Mark is the Associate Pastor of Youth & Family here at Prairie Hills. He received his M. Div. from North Park Theological Seminary in May 2006. Mark has a passion for discovering what it means to live with mission in mind in our culture today, especially as an intergenerational church. Mark is married to Megan, who by his account is the most wonderful woman in the world. He enjoys getting lost in all sorts of books, woods, and concerts, and it's all the better if he has a cup of coffee in hand. |
