Bowling! Pizza!  Missions!
Sat., March 8th 3:00-6:30pm

Senior High & Middle Schoolers: Come join the bowling craziness at Empire Bowl on Sat., March 8th at 3pm (Meet at Empire Bowl), as we will be bowling with our friends from other Covenant Churches in the area & our visiting missionaries the Dolans.  Afterwards we’ll come back to Prairie Hills for pizza, pop, & hear a bit about what is going with the underground mission work in China. (Be picked up at Prairie Hills.) Good people, good fun, & the real question is, can you beat a missionary in bowling?  Let Pastor Mark know if you are coming by March 6th.

Spring Ahead
Daylight Savings Time begins on Sunday, March 9. Please remember to turn your clocks ahead 1 hour on Saturday, March 8 before you go to bed!

Easter Flowers
Join us in celebrating our risen Lord on Easter morning with flowers, music and praise! We would like you to share in the remembering and praise on Easter morning by reserving an Easter mum, daffodil, hyacinth or tulip in memory or honor of a loved one. (Sorry, you cannot choose which type of flower.) Look for an order form in your upcoming bulletins or pick up an extra form on the welcome center.

Holy Week

Prayer Room
"Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, let your ears be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel."       Nehemiah 1:5-6 (TNIV)

The prayer room will be transformed again this year by the youth of the church during Holy Week. Sign-up for a time slot (or more) and experience God in this sacred space set aside to meet and be with Him in a powerful way.  During this important week when we remember how God has worked, take some time to be alone with Him through a time of prayer that employs all your senses and gives you the opportunity to praise, to plead, to cry, and to simply sit in the presence of God.

Maundy Thursday Open Communion - March 20, 6-8pm
You are invited to come by anytime between 6 and 8 pm to share in the Lord’s Table and/or the symbol of foot-washing. This can be a special time for individuals, families, or small groups.

Good Friday Tenebrae Service
March 21, 7pm

This service will be a time of Scripture reading and songs focusing on the cross. This style of service is called Tenebrae from the Latin for “darkness” because the sanctuary will get progressively darker as we retell the story of Christ’s death. This service is an experience of the power of the cross and a great preparation for the Easter celebration to come.

Giving our Tithes!
Automatic withdrawal is available as a way to give your tithes to Prairie Hills. Automatic withdrawal allows you to “give as you have made up your mind” (2 Cor. 9:7) knowing that your giving commitment will be taken care of automatically each month. You can set up automatic withdrawal for once a month (on the 5th) or twice a month (on the 5th & 20th). Automatic giving will be received as General Fund giving. You can still give to special offerings by contributing to the exit offering or indicating on the memo line of your check. Your contribution will appear on your bank statement and on your giving statement you receive from Prairie Hills. If you would like to begin using the automatic withdrawal method or have questions about the process, please contact Laurel in the church office (334-4172).
